Research focused on early stage fish farming and nutrition

Uragami Station, Aquaculture Research Institute

In the late 1950s, this Research Institute was established during the strong calls to convert from pearl farming to fish faming in the southern Kii area, which is how this laboratory came to be.

From the start, research was delved into fry production, early development and nutritional requirements, and contributed significantly to the development of fish farming in the Southern Kii area.
